In December we had made a decision to get all shopping done and tie all loose ends well before the departure date. We tried our best but as was our family practice most jobs were left to the last week and then the last 3 days. Before we knew, it was the 18^th of January and chaos followed as usual. Our luggage was as USUAL overweight.

We managed to get through the baggage area and said our goodbyes to my 2 older brothers. We waited for 2 hours at the Gate because the flight had been delayed. Finally settled on the plane it was around a 6-7 hour journey to Dubai, where we were rushed straight into our connecting flight to Karachi.
